LeBron James is the New Kia K900 Ambassador
Kia is betting on LeBron James to take its TV Advertising for their luxury car, the K900, to the next level. It’s considered a big coup for Kia to land the player most experts believe to be the most talented NBA player this side of Michael Jordan.
How did it happen? Let’s just say it occurred because of mutual admiration. First, you must realize that LeBron James is a big car guy. Once he added the K900 to his stable of automobiles, he was hooked. Friends and Twitter followers found out about his affection when he sent them the following message along with a photo: “Rolling around in my K900. Love this car!”
LeBron James is a K900 Fan
Once Kia found out James was a fan, they reached out to him. The agreement between the two sides happened quickly and was a natural fit. “For me, a partnership has to be authentic and real to who I am, and that’s what makes this one so special,” James said. “I was a Kia K900 fan before we decided to become partners, so I’m really excited to be Kia’s first-ever luxury ambassador.”
K900 TV advertising commercials featuring LeBron James have already been shot and produced, and will begin airing in the near future. The first commercials will be centered on the theme, “Fit for a King,” which plays off his nickname of “King James.”
The NBA regular season begins this week, and with James returning home to Cleveland to play for the Cavaliers, you can bet you’ll be seeing plenty of him – and the K900 TV commercials – in the coming weeks. “Kia and the K900 are out to challenge conventional wisdom and show people how to think differently, and I can relate to that,” said James.
Ladies and gentlemen, I have had the opportunity to drive the K900. Before you scoff at Kia’s claim that the K900 rivals some of the finest automobiles on the road today, I urge you to make a trip to your local Kia dealership and take a test drive. You’ll be more than impressed, especially when you measure the price tag of the K900 to comparable vehicles made by Mercedes-Benz, BMW and the like.
