Richard Brauns has been in the automotive business in one way or another since 1987. Interestingly, his association with JKR’s other co-founders happened well before our agency ever opened its doors.

As a dealer, Brauns achieved sales records with Hyundai, Kia and Isuzu stores in the late 1990s. He subsequently took over a floundering Ford dealership in Louisiana, achieving exceptional sales and customer satisfaction numbers that earned the store Blue Oval status.

While all this was happening, he was a client of JKR co-founder Jeff Johnson.

Knowing he and Johnson had a winning formula that would bring success to any dealership, he ultimately partnered with Johnson and Kevin Baumann to open JKR. “It didn’t matter what brand we advertised or sold,” he recalls. “As long as we ran compelling campaigns offering solutions to potential car buyers that reached the masses on a weekly basis, we sold cars!” he recalls.

Brauns stays busy in his off hours. He’s active in his church, enjoys time with his family, and is an avid hunter and fisherman.
